About Falastin Shirts
Purpose
“Falastin” is a transliteration of the Arabic “فلسطين” which means Palestine. This site exists to help raise awareness about the pains and injustices suffered by people in the Gaza and the West Bank, and also to raise funds to help them. 100% of profits from all sales are donated to worthy charities who advance that purpose. Right now the charities selected are the PCRF (Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund) and the Occupied Palestinian Territory Humanitarian Fund.
The Shirts
Many of the T-shirt designs come from an old Palestinian publication called “Shu’un Filastiniyya” (Palestinian Affairs) which was published in the 1970’s and featured articles concerning the culture, politics, and economy of Palestine.
Each shirt is named after a child killed in Gaza since October 7th, 2023.
Care has been taken to ensure the quality of the shirts and prints is very good. Most of the items are heavy cotton and the printing is fulfilled by Printful, which is more expensive but known for their quality.
